The ritual
I draw every morning as soon as I get up. A new image pops up in my mind, a story takes shape and a new adventure starts. I sketch quickly and I find a title matching the drawing. After breakfast, I show my drawings to my partner. First of all I give her the title with the appropriate pronunciation, then I show her my drawing. Bursts of laughter guaranteed. A perfect start for a perfect day!
The characters
Bonbon appeared to me in a candy, I imagined it smooth and cold like an eye, crispy or melting under the tongue. Then I created Smiley, the dentures. They became friends, twins, siblings, lovers. Together they experience new, exciting, uncommon, funny and moving adventures every day. Smiley loves mocking his friends. Mischievous and Machiavellian, he lives life to the fullest, for better and for laughter.
Voici maintenant l’explication de mes dessins du matin.
Le rituel
Je dessine chaque matin en me levant. Une image m’interpelle. Je l’associe à une autre, une aventure commence. J’esquisse rapidement. Je crée un titre. Après le petit-déjeuner, je présente mon dessin à ma blonde. Je lui annonce le titre avec l’intonation appropriée, puis, je lui présente le dessin. Éclats de rire assurés. La journée a bien commencé.
Les personnages.
Bonbon m’est apparu la première fois à la vue d’un bonbon que j’ai imaginé lisse et froid comme un oeil, croquant ou fondant sous la dent.
J’ai ensuite créé Smiley, le dentier. Ils sont devenus amis, jumeaux, amants ! Ensemble, ils vivent des aventures inusitées, drôles ou émouvantes. Smiley aime railler ses amis. Moqueur et machiavélique, il mord dans la vie pour le meilleur et pour le rire.
